Who are we, and what do we plan to bring to you?

We are a YouTube Sailing Couple, a sailing channel. Sailboat Ruby is a well-maintained 1984 Catalina 30 that Capt. Bill has continually upgraded over the past 26+ years as her owner. There have been extensive upgrades over the past few seasons, especially the electronics.

We plan to live aboard and sail soon, likely in 2026, to cruise up and down the US East Coast and beyond. We'll leave from New England, with Boston, MA (The Winthrop MA YC) as our home port, down the East Coast to Florida's east and west coasts, including Key West, The Bahamas, and possibly further!

A C30 is on the small size for living aboard and long-distance cruising, but we’ll figure it out. Many C30’s and owners have done some extensive world cruising. She’s a great boat that we know & trust.

We started this VLOG in early 2024. We plan to show our preparations for a 2025 departure. The Summer of 2026 includes episodes of extensive local NE cruising. There are a LOT of sailing VLOGs & channels out there, we hope & plan to make ours unique enough to keep you entertained regularly for the next several years. We are YouTube Sailing Channel junkies including many of the most popular ones and some not so in our subscription list. We plan to be just a bit different.
